Mardi Gras 2015 – Endymion Parade

Mardi Gras 2015 is in full swing in Louisiana. The Krewe of Endymion’s Parade in New Orleans was last night. My daughter-in-law took these photos. My step-son’s uncle is a lieutenant on one of the floats. It was great weather and they had a lot of fun. I love the pageantry.

Here is my step-son’s family waiting for the parade to start.

Here’s hoping the kids will get Uncle Pat’s attention when his float passes so he can throw them some special beads and trinkets.

Grandfather and grandson.

And the floats with revelers throwing beads kept coming and coming.

All the floats have a theme, with a huge symbol on the front of the float.

Here’s one of the many multi-deck and multi-wagon floats.

Thow me some beads, mister!

The Krewe of Endymion is one of the oldest krewes and has one of the most colorful parades; always on Saturday night. Here’s to another year of Mardi Gras!
